How to set app language?

To set your app language:

  • Tap the profile icon in the menu bar
  • Select the Settings option
  • Choose your preferred language from the list in the Language section.
How to add a payment method

You can pay for orders on the Bolt Food app by using cash (in some markets), Bolt balance and via credit/debit card.

Follow these steps to add a payment method to your account:

  • Tap the profile icon in the menu and select the Payments option
  • Add the card details in the relevant text fields and click the Continue button.

When you add a new card, our system will validate it with a reversible transaction. Please be informed that it can take up to 14 business days for the amount to be released.

How to add/remove items?

You can add and remove items from your order before checking out your basket. Once the order is placed, there is no option to do this.

To add an item to your basket, simply tap on the desired item, choose your options, add a note for the kitchen and indicate the number of items you would like by clicking the + or - signs. Click Add to basket when you are done.

To edit or remove the item from your order, click the View basket option at the bottom of the screen. In the basket view, you can either tap the Edit button or swipe left over the item you want to edit or remove. Select the pencil icon to edit the item or the bin icon to delete it.

How do I cancel an order in the app?

Please review your basket items and preferred delivery method before proceeding to checkout. Once the order has been placed and accepted by the restaurant, you can no longer change or cancel it.

How to delete a payment method in the app&

Follow these steps to remove a payment method from your account:

  • Tap the profile icon in the menu bar
  • Select the Payments options
  • Click the Edit button (top right corner)
  • Click the red (x) button.

Please note that you will not be able to remove your payment method if:

  • There is only one card added to your account - unless you remove the card from your ride-hailing account
  • There is a pending payment on the card.

In these cases, please add a new payment method to your account before removing the card.
